Move Better. Feel Stronger. Live Pain-Free.

At Wired to Move, we optimise your nervous system and mind-body connection to restore crucial missing links - helping you alleviate pain, regain function, and move freely.

The less threat we perceive, the more our body will allow us to do

Welcome to Wired to Move!

Here, the philosophy centres on healing the body by tapping into the incredible potential of neurology and the nervous system

Ever had any injury that just wonโ€™t go away?

This may be because your nervous system sees it as a threat and is signalling your body to protect it, even though it has healed. Through utilising neurology and optimising the nervous system we work with the body to see improvements in your wellbeing.

The more threat we perceive in our environment, the more our body tries to protect us by increasing pain, reducing our movement capabilities and decreases our performance.

We adopt a personalised approach by considering your history, such as past injuries, and examining how they continue to impact your body and the compensatory patterns it has developed as a result.

I utilise the power of SQUARE1 system and the many other techniques and skills I have acquired over the years to organise your nervous system which in turn solves your pain, movement, and performance issues.

Founder of Wired To Move, SQUARE 1 Practitioner

Meet Brendan

I'm Brendan, based in the beautiful Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. My journey began as a scratch golf player which soon changed to endurance sports such as ironman distance triathlons and ultra marathon running.

Through these sports I endured injuries myself. I became a remedial massage therapist to help myself and others relieve pain. After experiencing a significant ankle injury and trying both traditional and nontraditional treatments, my ankle still wasnโ€™t functioning at full capacity, leaving me short of complete recovery. That is until I came across harnessing the power of neurology and the nervous system.

This transformed how I approached helping solve clientโ€™s pain and movement problems and began seeing rapidly fast results and helping clients in more powerful ways than I imagined.

WIRED TO MOVE PROCESS

This is designed to enhance functionality, alleviate pain, and optimise human performance by addressing dysregulation.

Your in-person initial consultation is a time for us to discuss your goals and desired outcomes. A thorough evaluation of neurological function, including sensory, motor, and cognitive aspects, to identify areas of dysfunction or disorganization.

1. Comprehensive Assessment

Tailored therapies including the SQUARE 1 System, sensory restoration and reducing compensation patterns are utilised to restore balance and optimise nervous system performance.

2. Nervous System Intervention

We move to identify unconscious threats perceived by the central nervous system (CNS) that lead to compensatory patterns. Then restore neural organisation, improving movement efficiency.

3. Neuro-Muscle Response Testing

4. Ongoing Support and Maintenance

Regular monitoring and adjustments to ensure sustained improvements and address any new challenges. Periodic sessions to sustain the benefits and address any new compensatory patterns that may arise over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Nervous system optimisation involves identifying and addressing imbalances in the nervous system to improve overall function and well-being by targeting neurological disorganisation that affects movement quality. A standard treatment typically involves:

    • Assessment: A thorough evaluation of neurological function, including sensory, motor, and cognitive aspects, to identify areas of dysfunction or disorganization.

    • Intervention: Tailored therapies such as sensory restoration and reducing compensation patterns is utilised to restore balance and optimise nervous system performance.

    • Ongoing Support: Regular monitoring and adjustments to ensure sustained improvements and address any new challenges.

    • Neuro-Muscle Response Testing: Identifying unconscious threats perceived by the central nervous system (CNS) that lead to compensatory patterns.

    • Restoration: restoring neural organisation and improving movement efficiency.

    • Maintenance: Periodic sessions to sustain the benefits and address any new compensatory patterns that may arise over time.

This is designed to enhance functionality, alleviate pain, and optimise human performance by addressing dysregulation.

  • On our first visit we will run through your history, identify key goals you would like to achieve and areas you would potentially like to see improvements. We will then begin to make corrections to work towards these goals.

  • Everyone is unique, but we typically observe results within three sessions for the conditions mentioned above or for common soft tissue injuries. For more complex cases, additional sessions may be necessary. For chronic conditions, a maintenance plan may be required, involving a few sessions per year.

  • No, since most side effects and symptoms are regulated by the nervous system, we are equipped to assist with a wide range of needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions to determine if this approach is the right fit for you.
